Looking for a casino that is both modern, yet classy and elegant? The Grosvenor St. Giles combines all the elements of a beautiful classic casino, with a modern twist.
Grosvenor St. Giles Casino Review
A modern, stylish casino that fits all tastes, the St. Giles Casino used to be known as the Gala Tottenham Court Casino. Following its acquisition by the Grosvenor Group in 2013, its original name was changed to reflect its location and close ties with the St. Giles hotel.
Easily accessible via public transport, the St. Giles Casino also enjoys the attention of tourists who arrive in the country thanks to its proximity to London City Airport and Heathrow Airport. Parking is also free outside of the casino from 6:30pm onwards, and the casino has close ties with a nearby Bloomsbury Car Park to give their patrons lower rates on overnight parking. However, Tottenham Court Road tube station is only a minute’s walk from the casino, so this remains a more popular way to get to the casino.
Many guests of the hotel have said that the casino has been remarkable for bringing in a new breed of gamblers. Because of its accessibility, punters and patrons are no longer expected to be dressed to the nines when entering the club. Instead, gamers of all sorts walk the floors of the St. Giles Casino, coming to the casino for nothing but good fun and great food.
The St. Giles Casino has all the workings of a London casino, with American Roulette, Blackjack, Three-Card Poker, Punto Banco and Baccarat tables. There are also 39 electronic gaming terminals linked to electronic roulette and live roulette games. What truly makes the casino unique, however, is their addition of communal slots. At the St. Giles Casino, there is a row of slot machines that are equipped with a special effect that allows all players currently using any of the machines to experience the same bonuses. For example, if one-person gets a 5x bonus on their machine, everyone else playing slots will receive the same bonus.
There are also daily cash Poker games held at the casino starting from 7pm and continuing until late.
The casino comes equipped with a bar that serves cocktails, Champagne and chilled beers. This is located away from the action of the casino so you can truly relax. There is also a bistro-style restaurant at the casino, which offers the best of Eastern and Western cuisine.
Its accessibility to a large array of people makes the St. Giles Casino one of the premier destinations for events in the West End. Company dinners and launches are held in the casino, and everyone from tech startups to charities have worked with the St. Giles Casino.
Every Thursday, the casino welcomes new members by holding a special night just for them, where Learn to Play sessions are held for the amateur gamblers.
No dress code is implemented at St. Giles, but guests are expected to dress smart. No sportswear or caps that may obstruct the view of security cameras may be worn in the casino’s premises.
Unlike its predecessor, Grosvenor does not require guests to register for membership with St. Giles. The membership, however, comes with a subscription to the Grosvenor Rewards Program, through which members might earn loyalty points, which can be traded for freebies at any Grosvenor Casino.
