Located in a luxurious hotel the casino has 500 table games and more than 1,000 slot machines. The name of this casino should be enough to guarantee patrons that they will be in good hands at the Wynn in Macau, but with the region seeing a steady influx of casino gaming, how does the Wynn stand up next to other casinos?
Wynn Casino Macau Review
Wynn Resorts founded this luxury-integrated resort in the Macau Peninsula, in 2006. Recognising the growing market for casino gaming in East Asia, Wynn Resorts took a gamble that undoubtedly paid off. Wynn Macau has become one of the most recognisable casinos in the Macau Peninsula, with 600 hotel rooms and suites, over 500 table games, and hundreds of more slot machines.
Of course, Wynn Macau is also a hotel, and it has the facilities necessary to provide to the millions of people who visit it every year. Five restaurants, 2,400 m2 of retail space, an atrium, a swimming pool, spas and salons, and several bar areas are all available for the use of their guests.
Thanks to changes in legislation in China’s only legal casinos, Wynn Macau has experienced a rather steady decline in profits. But this has not stopped Wynn Resorts from further improving the gaming experience at Wynn Macau.
Even with developments in Macau slowing down, Wynn Macau still remains the biggest source of income for Wynn Resorts. There are over 1,000 gaming machines in Wynn Macau, and while these should be more than enough to entice any gambler to visit the hotel, they also have a specialised poker room where guests can play poker until their hearts’ content.
The best part about the casino is that there is a very wide range of games for every kind of gambler. Minimum bets are at HKD$1, and maximum bets are at HKD$100,000, so both casual gamblers and high-stakes casino regulars should have a great time enjoying the tables.
The hundreds of slot machines found in Wynn Macau also offer progressive jackpots, so there are plenty of opportunities for everyone in the casino.
The Wynn Macau seems to have focused heavily on providing as many choices to their guests as possible, as there are a total of 11 food and beverage stations located throughout the casino. Whether it’s a fine dining experience you’re after or casual dining, Wynn Macau has it all.
Mizumi, one of the fine dining restaurants at Wynn Macau, serves decadent Japanese dishes. Thanks to the atmosphere and architecture of the restaurant, guests will feel the real essence of Japan. Chef Hiroshi Kagata crafts each dish from the finest ingredients from across the globe while using traditional Japanese methods. Guests who wish to have a bit more privacy will also be glad to know that there are two private rooms in the restaurant.
For a more casual dining experience, Cafe Esplanada is open to serve favourite dishes from around the world. Having a decadent menu and a colourful view, Cafe Esplanada makes itself stand out from the rest of the casual dining restaurants, serving Mediterranean, Asian, and other international entrees and desserts.
Entertainment and events
The Wynn Macau has become renowned for its various attractions, including the Tree of Prosperity, the Dragon of Fortune, the Moon Jellyfish Aquarium, and of course, Performance Lake. The Tree of Prosperity is made from 24-karat gold leaf, as well as brass leaf – a showstopper all on its own.
Wynn Macau imposes a smart casual dress code, which means shorts and flip flops are not allowed. Meanwhile, the fine dining restaurants impose a casual elegant dress code and casual dining restaurants allow casual clothing.
Wynn Macau is open to the public and doesn’t have any membership clubs.
